My goal is to join an artist on tour and travel the world.
Even though I think my pictures already say a lot about me, here’s a little more about the person behind the camera.
My name is Kajetan Sumila, although most people know me as Kajtek. I grew up in the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, and bought my first camera when I was 13. With a lot of experimenting and help from the internet, I taught myself the basics and quickly became obsessed with capturing the people and moments around me.
Shortly after turning 18, a friend asked me to photograph his party. That night sparked my passion for event photography and eventually led me into the world of festivals and electronic music. Today, my work is focused mainly on capturing festivals, artists and the energy surrounding electronic music culture.
In 2023, I graduated from school with a focus on visual arts. Alongside my work as a freelance photographer and filmmaker, I work professionally as an event manager — giving me an understanding of events from both sides of the camera.
In 2025, I co-founded TAKEOVER, a party label built around unique locations, electronic music and visual storytelling. Besides producing the events, I am responsible for capturing full DJ sets with multicam productions for YouTube as well as creating short-form content around each event.
What started with a camera at 13 has become a way for me to combine everything I love: music, events, travelling and visual storytelling.
The goal hasn’t changed: I want to take my camera around the world, capture unforgettable moments and one day join an artist on tour.
